Environmental Views

(ONGOING SERIES)

In a world with global warming, pollution, and energy crisis, I attempt to create soothing views of the natural world that reveal themselves slowly, compounding their visual information, as one peers deeper into the work. The paintings endeavor to expose some of our environmental problems with urban life, and the political and social dilemmas in which we all find ourselves.

"Turner's watercolors demonstrate a delicate sensibility towards the politics of hope. Hope for the continuation of the lush, rural environment in which Turner grew up. Never succumbing to nostalgia, she demands that the viewer embraces an ecology that unless aided will quietly slide into extinction."  — Theodore Bryant, writer

All paintings in this series are available as Archival Prints (limited edition of 10).
