Dancers

Social Commentary

(ONGOING SERIES)

These watercolor paintings are about the intersectionality of dancers and the numerous precarious positions in the world. I attempt to depict the beauty and lightness of dancers as a means to draw viewers into the work while addressing various contrasts and realities. I endeavor to portray the dilemma we each experience upon being confronted with life’s incongruities. Color plays a vital role in this endeavor. It is used to stimulate, to engage, and to cause a reaction in the viewer.

"Every piece of art reflects its creator's inner vision. It also reveals the artist's intent, however subtle."  — Theodore Bryant, writer

All paintings in this series are available as Archival Prints (limited edition of 10).
